At the AGM on Friday night the members unanimously agreed to the recommendation of the Committee to appoint Elliot Henderson as Merchant Company Standard Bearer for 2023. Due to long-standing work commitments in New Zealand Elliot was unable to be present at the AGM or the Dinner when the new Standard Bearer is usually introduced to the Company. However, he was able to address members and guests via a pre-recorded video where he thanked the Company for placing its trust in him and undertook to carry out his duties to the best of his abilities. The Company extends its congratulations to Elliot, and to his wife Dot who will be his Lady Busser, and wishes them all the best for their term in office.
